Recently, Markus Fehr, Vice Chairman of the German-Sino Healthcare Group and Representative of the German Healthcare Alliance in China, led a delegation to the Beijing Sino-German Industrial Park for research and exchange. The visit aimed to further strengthen Sino-German cooperation in the biomedical sector. Song Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Lingang Economic Zone Working Committee of Beijing Capital International Airport, Deputy Director of the Management Committee, Member of the Leading Party Members Group of the Shunyi District Government, and Vice District Mayor (concurrently), along with other relevant leaders, participated in the event.

During the symposium, Markus Fehr introduced the operational and cooperation mechanisms of the German-Sino Healthcare Group platform. He emphasized the vast development potential of the biomedical industry in Shunyi District and stated that the German-Sino Healthcare Group would fully leverage its resources and platform advantages to enhance practical cooperation with Shunyi District and the Beijing Sino-German Industrial Park.

Song Peng pointed out that the Beijing Sino-German Industrial Park and the Pioneer Zone for Rare Disease Drug Security should leverage the mature pharmaceutical trade system of the comprehensive bonded zone to promote clinical trials and applications of advanced German immunotherapy technologies in China. He also expressed hope that China and Germany would jointly engage in the research and development of cancer treatment technologies, sharing data and resources to foster the vigorous growth of the biomedical industry.

During the exchange, both parties reached consensus on various aspects, including park development, medical technology R&D and application, talent cultivation, and exchange. They agreed to explore Sino-German cooperation in healthcare and biotechnology, contributing to the implementation of the Healthy China strategy.

Moving forward, the Beijing Sino-German Industrial Park will maintain close contact with the German-Sino Healthcare Group, strengthening cooperation in healthcare, technology transfer, market expansion, and other fields. Both parties will jointly explore new pathways for Sino-German (European) development in the biomedical sector.
