The trade volume between Germany and China reached a record high last year, with China becoming Germany's most important trading partner for the seventh consecutive year.

According to data obtained by Reuters from the German Bureau of Statistics, the commodity trading volume between the two countries is approximately 298 billion euros, an increase of about 21% from 2021.

In 2022, Germany imported goods worth approximately 191 billion euros from China, an increase of one-third from 2021; Germany's exports of goods to China increased by 3.1% to around 107 billion euros.
