On the evening of May 29, local time in Germany, the 75-year-old global industrial flagship exhibition Hannover Messe opened at the Hannover Exhibition Center in Germany. German Chancellor Scholz attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. 

From May 30 to June 2, about 2,500 exhibitors from about 60 countries and regions, focusing on the theme of "industrial transformation", showcased the latest trends in global industrial development in 7 exhibition areas on innovative technologies and future production, energy solutions, digital ecosystems, automation as well as power and transmission. Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park, as an important window for Beijing's opening up and international cooperation, made its debut one year since its establishment.

The 2022 Hannover Messe

The Industrial Park joined hands with the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce and the China International Investment Promotion Agency, organized a series of activities themed "Invest in China" in the global business and market exhibition area of the Hannover Messe, showcasing the Industrial Park as an important window of Beijing's opening up and international cooperation. Its original intention of equal, mutually beneficial and pragmatic cooperation, its achievements in industrial construction and talent gathering, and its vision for opportunities for joint innovation and integrated development were focused on.

The exhibition of “Invest in China” at the 2022 Hannover Messe

Besides the “Invest in China” exhibition, Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park also jointly held the 2022 China-Germany Smart Manufacturing Forum with organizations in Germany, inviting scholars, experts and senior managers of enterprises in green intelligent manufacturing from both China and Germany to share their views on the global trend of “green intelligent manufacturing and a low-carbon future”.

Mr. Andrej Jautze, managing director of Beijing Viessmann Heating Technology Co., Ltd., a representative enterprise based in the Industrial Park joined the dialogue themed on “green manufacturing empowering the future” via a video link, introducing the company’s growth and prominent achievements in Shunyi district.

Ms. Xia Xue, who is in charge of the Industrial Park’s German office, joined the dialogue at the forum site with the theme of “government-enterprise cooperation and sustainable development”, introducing demonstrative results of the “dual carbon” innovative industries ecosystem in the Industrial Park and services offered in low-carbon consulting, technological cooperation and application scenarios, which won huge attention from participating enterprises.

The Industrial Park also hosted special promotion activities at the exhibiting site, showcasing achievements of development since its establishment one year ago, as well as innovative policies in supporting intelligent manufacturing, IPR protection and international talent service. Mr. Michael Schumann, Chairman of the Board of the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA) visited the exhibition of the Industrial Park and learned its development progress. He was quite optimistic about the future development prospects of the Industrial Park. Mr. Georg J. Türk, CEO of the Association of German Hidden Champions (VDHC) talked with representatives of the Industrial Park’s German office on green environmental protection economy and related policies. He said environmental protection and sustainable development will be a common direction for both countries of future development and expected to launch in-depth cooperation with the Industrial Park.

On the first day of the 2022 Hannover Messe, Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park communicated with dozens of enterprises and organizations and personages attending the forum also showed attention on the Industrial Park. Over the past year since its establishment, Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park has taken advantages in the construction of "Two Zones" (the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening Up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Free Trade Pilot Zone) and the international center for science and technology innovation in Beijing, put forward many measures and achieved prominent achievements in Sino-German cooperation and communication promotion, key project landing, development policy innovation and the creation of an international environment.
