Briefings on high-level talent policies in the Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park have been held from May 31 to June 2, to further promote the construction of "Two Zones" (the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening Up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Free Trade Pilot Zone) in Shunyi District and the Chinese capital’s international talent community, and precisely serve foreign talents. The series were broadcast live online. More than 600 representatives watched the live broadcast.

People in charge of related affairs at  the Organizational Department of Shunyi District Party Committee, Shunyi District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Shunyi District Headquarters Talent Center were invited to offer detailed explanation of policies concerning permanent residence for foreign talents and foreigners working in China. They also communicated on the key issues of concern from enterprises and talents.

With the talent policies being implemented and enhanced, the Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park will further open up the development channels of talent resources for enterprises in the District. Adhering to higher positioning and starting point, the Park has made precise efforts in actively exploring new mechanisms of development driven by talent, industrial and innovation chains, with the international talent entrepreneurship platform as the carrier, the talents as the growth engine, and policies as the support, so as to promote the building of a talent high land and a base for start-ups with high-end talent founders.

Amid the COVID-19 epidemic, the China-Germany Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Association has taken various measures to accurately serve the German-invested and member enterprises in Shunyi district, building a live broadcast platform for the Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park and coordinating the relevant district government departments to carry out a series of activities such as "policy implementation without physical meeting", said Li Wei, CPPCC Shunyi District committee member and  Secretary-General of the China-Germany Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Association.

Li also said that the Association will better know the operation of member enterprises through multiple channels and forms, understand the core needs and difficulties of them, playing well the role of a bridge between the government and enterprises so as to provide better support for the development of enterprises.

As a representative of the first batch of enterprises based in the Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park, Wu Wuqing, co-founder of Beijing PhaBuilder Biotechnology Co, Ltd, expressed his gratitude to the China-Germany Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Association for setting up the platform for policy explanation. Through the meeting on elaboration of the policies, the company better understood policies and measures offered by the District in talent introduction and practical problems encountered in its operation have been solved through online interaction. 

Wu also talked about the strong support the company has received from the Shunyi District Government, the Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park Management Committee and other departments during the process of the landing of the project. When he was dealing with talent introduction and the Beijing work residence permit processes, "one-on-one" professional services and guidance from the Organizational Department of Shunyi District Party Committee, Shunyi District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Shunyi District Headquarters Talent Center. Detailed services provided by relevant departments in the district further helped PhaBuilder achieve rapid high-quality development based on talents in Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park.

Wu also said that PhaBuilder has set up its headquarters in  Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park, and is building an intelligent demonstration production line with an annual capacity of 1,000 tons of high-end PHA, as well as a China-Germany Synthetic Biology R&D Center. In the next five years, PhaBuilder will, with Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park as the basis, build PHA and high-value compounds production bases in China and develop into a global unicorn enterprise in synthetic biology.
