The 10th China-Germany Forum for Economic and Technological Cooperation was held successfully

The 10th China-Germany Forum for Economic and Technological Cooperation was held in Beijing on April 28, 2021. The forum was jointly organized by the National Development and Reform Commission of China and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. He Lifeng, head of the National Development and Reform Commission, made a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, and Lin Nianxiu, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, chaired the discussion and delivered a speech.

With the theme of "Joining Hands for Progress and Win-Win Cooperation - Gathering New Development Momentum", the forum aimed to build consensus through dialogue, achieve win-win cooperation, and forge closer China-Germany economic and technological relations. Chinese and German government officials, and representatives from nearly 100 enterprises and institutions participated in "online + offline" meetings. The forum focused on three topics, including macroeconomics, digital transformation, and low carbon emissions. Representatives from Chinese and German companies made speeches at the conference.

The economic and technological cooperation between China and Germany dates back to a long time ago. Since the first forum was held in 1997, with the joint organization of the governments of both countries and the participation of people from the economic and business circles, the economic and technological cooperation has been continuously deepened and borne fruitful results. The forum has become an important bridge for China-Germany economic, trade, scientific and technological cooperation.

In the future, China and Germany will continue to deepen cooperation and give full play to the platform role of the forum. While strengthening cooperation with industry leaders and building "flagship" projects, China and Germany will encourage extensive pragmatic cooperation among small and medium-sized enterprises. The two countries will continue to expand the areas of cooperation in green development and digital economy, speed up the construction of China-Germany cooperation demonstration zones or industrial parks and other cooperation carriers, build a new pattern of three-dimensional cooperation, and jointly promote the economic and technological cooperation to a higher level.
